Master Dialogue - Asian Literary Dialogue Conference

Dear Madam/Sir,
Since its inception in 2017, the Lu Xun Culture Foundation's "Master Dialogue - Chinese and Foreign Literature Dialogue" event has been held for six years, including 2017 China-Russia, 2018 China-France, 2019 China-India, 2020 China-South Korea, 2021 East Asia, and 2022 China-Germany. The year 2023 marks the 100th anniversary of the publication of Lu Xun's famous collection of novels, Call to Arms. The Call to Arms has been translated into more than 50 languages and has gained worldwide fame, particularly in Asia. Therefore, the Seventh "Master Dialogue - Chinese and Foreign Literature Dialogue" is set as "Master Dialogue - Asian Literature Dialogue Conference", which is co-sponsored by Lu Xun Culture Foundation, Institute of Literature and Institute of Foreign Languages of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Guangdong Writers Association, Lu Xun and World Culture Research Institute of Beijing Language and Culture University, and Asia College of Beijing Foreign Studies University, to commemorate the publication of Lu Xun's famous collection of short stories Call to Arms, build a bridge of literary exchanges between China and Asia, and broaden the paths for mutual learning of civilizations between China and other Asian countries.
With the theme of "New Integration of Literature in Bay Area with New Driving Force of Asian Literature", the "Master Dialogue - Asian Literature Dialogue Conference" is aimed to build an international communication discourse system that integrates Chinese and foreign literary dialogues, establish a high-end, open and free academic exchange platform, create a cross-civilization exchange mechanism that respect and appreciate all the diversity, and strengthen literary exchanges between China and other Asian countries and regions.
We sincerely welcome experts and scholars from home and abroad to attend the conference and discuss hot issues, advanced theories and development trends in the field of Asian literature. As we know, you have profound knowledge and original ideas in the field of literature and we sincerely invite you to join in us. I hereby inform you of the relevant matters of the conference as follows:
I. Agenda
1. Speeches by Chinese scholars on the publication, distribution and response of Asian literary works in China;
2. Speeches by foreign scholars on the publication, distribution and response of Chinese literary works overseas;
3. Chinese scholars introduce outstanding Chinese literary works in recent years;
4. Foreign scholars introduce outstanding literary works in their own countries in recent years;
5. Discuss the characteristics of Asian literature, the status quo, achievements and status of modern Asian literature in the world, as well as the development of post-modern Asian literature.

V. Registration Form and Thesis
The conference includes keynote speech and panel discussion. Please send the registration form attached, thesis or abstract in both Chinese and English first to gaoshiyi@luxun.net before September 15, 2023 to confirm your attendance. The conference team will send you the official invitation letter and specific meeting arrangements by email on mid October.
IV. Expenses
The round-trip transportation expenses shall be at your own expenses and local accommodation and transportation in Guangzhou would be supported by the conference.
